Have you ever said to your self or others “There is never enough time in the day! or If I only had more time!” There are many other phrases that can sound just like that. What you do to focus and become more effective is the key.

The word I used is effective not efficient. You see efficient is doing something in a shorter amount of time. However, being effective is doing something right with efficiency. You can do the wrong thing better and what does it get you? More of the same just in a shorter time frame. Now if you chose the right action and were to do it with more effectiveness, what will that do for your time and outcomes?

So, how do you create a plan that does not burn you out and you keep that edge of effectiveness as sharp as possible. One thing I do is work for 25 minutes take a 5 minute break to facebook, tweet, linkedin, etc… work for another 25 and 5 minute break. This keeps me focuses for short hard bursts and then I am able to turn my brain off for a few minutes and then restart. You have to be disciplined in getting back on task. Use some form of this to keep you refreshed and energized. Find out what works best for you.
